You know their are various types of harware and software out there that let you plug your guitar into your computer and record, well this goes at it from another angle instead of plugging in yourself this software gives you a library of sounds which you can use everything from palm mutes, slides, picking, tapping, trills and much more. So yeah you hook up a nice keyboard to your computer and the sounds you get can provide you with a way to create songs just like you were playing the guitar.. check out the video demo

DirectGuitar 2.0 features.

* Key switching: gives you slides, palm mute, pinch harmonics, tapping, trills, and octave chords.
* Arpeggio: which simulate the arpeggio with fingers typical of pop or rock music. It’s possible to mute it, to adjust the volume or even change the intonation of it.
* 12 articulations including bridge, mid-bridge, mid, mid-neck, neck, jazz, strum, slap hand, arpeggio, chords, Mute M+N, mute M+B.
* Strum noises: Strum noises, hand noises and cable noises very helpful for creating live reggae, funky and jazz parts.
* Strum articulation: With this articulation you can create real funky riffs. It has strum noises loops in which is possible to adjust the tempo and intonation.

Now cool thing is right now they have a nice little offer on where if you get this before the end of 2007 you will get the DIRECT BASS lite software which is a amp simulator and bass libray. The cost is $109 for the full version and $5 to upgrade, it can be used on Windows xp, mac osc.
