Now here is one classic blues player. Born in 1929, died in 1967 J.B Lenoir was very active in the chicago scene back in the 50s and 60s. It was his father who got him interested in guitar after playing him some blind lemon jefferson music. He worked growing up with artists like sonny boy williamson II and elmore james yet over time he developed his style from people like lightnin hopkins and arthur crudup.

When he died in 1967 he was only 38 and it was from a heart attack which was brought on by an injury he got through an accident in a car a couple of weeks previous

Even after he was dead players showed respect with John mayall writing " Im gonna fight for you J.B " and " Death of J.B Lenoir "

He was featured in a martin scorsese's film called " The Blues " which cover the careers of J.B , Skip james and Bline Willie Johnson.
