I used to own a Les Paul, I had a midnight manhattan limited edition.. still not sure why i went and sold it Anyway.

Gibson is back at it again and on their USA site they have a new guitar out called the Les Paul Push Tone, and its not cheap. So what is the scoop on this?

Well imagine having a guitar where you have the ability to change your pickups super fast just by pushing them out of the guitar and unhooking a few cables?

Up to now unless you really knew what you was doing. If you wanted to change the pickups on your guitar you would have to take it down to your local music store and have Jimmy Joe behind the counter do it for you. Now you can do it yourself!

The Les Paul Push Tone also was named Guitar of the Month for May 2008

It literally takes now minutes to push out your old pickups, disconnect from the wire clips and plug in a new set.. what advantage does this give you other than make the job fast, easy and less expensive.. Well now if you have a few sets of guitar pickups you can play around with new tones.

Here is an idea.. Take your guitar down to local music store and ask them to stack up 20 pickups and plug yourself into an amp and push out a set put in a set and keep at it until you find a couple of sets you really like.

Now it does comes with good ones to begin with .. you get burstbucker pros and a set of P-94s.. or you could go to a single coil P-94s or mix and match two types
