Eastwood have increased their Signature series line of guitars by producing a new limited edition guitar called the Buzzcocks it was inspired by guitarist Pete Shelley and his guitar. It has a real punk look to it with glaring pink on the body and the headstock.

Apparently his guitar was smashed into two parts and ended up no longer being played after Pete retried in 1978 ( all good things come to an end )

Story is while practising he got carried away took it off and threw it and the top half of the guitar body snapped leaving the remainder intact and playable. So he continued using it.. said it was fine.

So this replica has the same top half missing!

What is kind of cool is Doc Martens Shoe shop in Manchester recently reunited the two parts and displayed them when they opend up shop

Now they are only making 88 of these and each one will have their own unique serial number on them along with a signature hand signed by Pete Shelley. Thats a lot of signing.

You will also get some buzzcocks memorabilia such as a 8 x 10 1977 photo, a nice leather strap for the guitar a white curly cord and pete shelley strings.

All of the guitars will come custom fit to a hardcase which will have the bands logo on it and a certificate of authenticity which is great if you plan to buy it and sell it at a later date for a huge amount on ebay :)

You can see this guitar in the next NAMM show at booth 1151 if your going. It will go out in January 2008
