I have owned a 414 CE for about 6 years. Very good guitar. but has a dead spot ... low F sharp ....probably just a flaw in my guitar... I wish I had swapped it for another..... the top end is just incredible for sustain and clarity... not so good for strumming (better with a duller sounding guitar) but V.good for picking.... and playing solos.... Frets were not very good.... far too soft... but after a refret job its fine. but my advice is to shop around for any guitar. Taylor necks are a fine width...Don't buy a guitar with a narrow neck (why do so many manufacturers make guitars with cramped necks?.... beats me)...sometimes a cheaper guitar can sound fantastic although they are a bit more variable.... but certainly try a Taylor!
